Ópera pop baseada em "Guerra e Paz" lidera indicações ao Tony Awards

Adaptação musical da quinta parte do volume 2 da obra "Guerra e Paz", de Leon Tolstói, a ópera pop "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" é a líder em indicações à edição 2017 do Tony Awards. O prêmio máximo do teatro, conhecido como o Oscar das artes cênicas, anunciou nesta terça-feira os nomeados ao evento, que acontece no dia 11 de junho. A cerimônia de coroação dos vencedores será apresentada por Kevin Spacey e será realizada no Radio City Music Hall, em Nova Iorque.

"Hello, Dolly!", espetáculo de grande sucesso da Broadway sobre uma viúva casamenteira, recebeu dez indicações, incluindo para as suas estrelas, Bette Midler e David Hyde Pierce. O prêmio especial por melhor conjunto da obra em teatro será entregue a James Earl Jones, "um dos atores mais ilustres e versáteis da América" e mais conhecido pela voz de Darth Vader na franquia "Star Wars" e pela voz de Mufasa em "Rei Leão".
